Weet Bix tryathlon day

On a cold typical day I wake up in my warm blankets and I'm ready to start the long day behind me. In fact today is the weet bix tryathlon it's where kids from many different schools here can compete in the weet bix tryathlon and it isn't compulsory. It is the 24 march on a rainy cold thursday everyone is going to get ready for the big day behind them. I take my succulent breakfast and get changed in my weet bix gear.

We head into the car and vanish away from our house on the road to ongley park where the tryathlon is held. We arrive and I start getting butterflies in my stomach. I think to myself what will happen what will happen then I start to shake even more. I put my bike when we past the check in e.g (where everyone gets to put their bike.) I ran to the tent and eat another piece of my breakfast.

They start calling out the 10 year olds to come and get ready but all of us started to get nerves and the butterflies twitching in our stomachs. I look up to the sky and say to myself today is going to be a rough day.

We get to the pool first because the tryathlon goes swim bike run. I’m seconds away from getting into the 50 metre pool.

I slide my body into the pool and wait till the adult say on your marks get set go, well I waited patiently and she said the big word Go.

I swim like a dolphin getting to the end and safe to the shore. The butterflies start to fade away suddenly without word. My mind was twirling saying go go go hyacinthe go nothing is impossible it’s spelt i’m possible. I run as fast as I can to get my bike and while I was getting my bike I saw people racing to get their bike.

I put my shirt on and get my bike and hope on like a rabbit. I ride my bike and ride as fast as I can like a shooting star racing across at the last second. I kept on saying nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it.

I finish the long bike ride and head off for the run. I run like a cheetah chasing its prey at full speed. I do a big sprint for the line and finally get my medal and celebrating saying cha-hoo ya-hoo way to finish it. After the tryathlon i head home and have a big rest.

Hurricanes!!!!

On the 18th of March the Hurricanes came to our school and came on a wet afternoon.

Everyone were all excited of what was coming! We all had our rugby supporting flag and cheered on for the players in the team.

All of us settle our selves in the hall and waited patiently for the players everyones heart was pounding like a jumbo jet zooming passed us!

We had our questions in brain thinking to ask them and also holding our markers in our hands to get prepared for signature.

The hurricanes were waiting in the deep rain and wind but like we know they are called the hurricanes so they are strong enough for the rain. they come in and introduce themselves. We were all full with questions in our head but not everyone had a turn for questions but anyways the teacher said that it was time for some groovy jump jam.

We all danced as a school and also with the superb moves from the hurricanes then it was time to say bye too the hurricanes and hopefully see them on another day. we were all sad that they left but apart from that we were so happy saw them.

Learning Space in Gri11 2.0

This year in our class we have been learning in our own class space and today I'm going to be telling you  my favourite space and explaining what you do in that space and telling what people do in there. From day one in our class their was nothing in the classroom except for a chair. but the first three days of school our teachers wanted a classroom space but we had to become up with a space to work. we were sent in groups of 4 with 59 people in our class. We had a look around what people did but no one voted except for their one.

The next 3 days our teachers thought there was a problem with our designs so they thought that we should do it as a class.

The design was finished but we had to name our spaces so like that we know what we do in that space. Now Im going to tell you all the names of the spaces and the best one too learn in. we have 4 spaces in our class. The first one is the hub where you chat about your learning and where we go on the mat. The second one is the hideout which is a silent zone where people do their learning without talking or whispering. The third one is the hall of fame where you can talk and chat about your learning just like in the hub.

Now Im going to tell you what my favourite space is and explain what you do. It's called the hangout  where you work and have a chat with your friend and finish your learning.

It's my favourites space not just because talk it's because you can manage your learning with your friends. But the bad news is you can get kicked out of the room but it's absolutely a good place to chat and learn some of the time. It's also known as being called the social room. So thats my favourite place to learn in gri11 2.0.

Sixtus Lodge Camp

On a cool sunny day we were excited what was ahead of us today we were going to do some tramping and river walks.

It's about 7:30 am in the morning we took breakfast their were so much food for breakfast.

I ate rice bubbles and melted in my tongue like if it was a hundred degrees outside. It was a suckulet taste and couldn't resist another dish.

My sight was blocked on the rice bubbles for 15 minutes and then mr robertson said "it's time to soak up your shoes because today we are going to do a river walk in a glow worm cave." and as soon I heard the teacher I knew it was going to be a big adventure ahead us today.

We walk down calmly on the road with our activity groups.

we enter the big cave until seconds later I got a small shiver down my spine.

we go across the small lake and see a big cave in front of my body.

In my brain their were so many stuff flowing and in some parts in my brain said "you can do it believe in your self Hyacinthe their is nothing to worry about."

but on the other hand there was one other person in my brain saying " don't do it the teachers are wanting to lead you in a bad trap. But I went and persisted and didn't give up. But now it's time to go in the lake.

We jump in the river and see glow worms but seconds later my feet got num like if you were stuck in a big cube.

My shoes went completely soggy and felt inside my shoes which the crunchy wet and soggy wetness.
I fell into the river and hurt my knee and soaked my pants and shirt. but at the end all of us were drenched and returned at the campsite and relaxed. finally it's over but we have to do activities now, well it was a good day today and tomorrow we leave from camp and return to our lovely homes.
I had one of the best camps in my life and finished the long 8 hour tramp finally we did it!
