On a cold typical day I wake up in my warm blankets and I'm ready to start the long day behind me. In fact today is the weet bix tryathlon it's where kids from many different schools here can compete in the weet bix tryathlon and it isn't compulsory. It is the 24 march on a rainy cold thursday everyone is going to get ready for the big day behind them. I take my succulent breakfast and get changed in my weet bix gear.
We head into the car and vanish away from our house on the road to ongley park where the tryathlon is held. We arrive and I start getting butterflies in my stomach. I think to myself what will happen what will happen then I start to shake even more. I put my bike when we past the check in e.g (where everyone gets to put their bike.) I ran to the tent and eat another piece of my breakfast.
They start calling out the 10 year olds to come and get ready but all of us started to get nerves and the butterflies twitching in our stomachs. I look up to the sky and say to myself today is going to be a rough day.
We get to the pool first because the tryathlon goes swim bike run. I’m seconds away from getting into the 50 metre pool.
I slide my body into the pool and wait till the adult say on your marks get set go, well I waited patiently and she said the big word Go.
I swim like a dolphin getting to the end and safe to the shore. The butterflies start to fade away suddenly without word. My mind was twirling saying go go go hyacinthe go nothing is impossible it’s spelt i’m possible. I run as fast as I can to get my bike and while I was getting my bike I saw people racing to get their bike.
I put my shirt on and get my bike and hope on like a rabbit. I ride my bike and ride as fast as I can like a shooting star racing across at the last second. I kept on saying nothing is impossible if you set your mind to it.
I finish the long bike ride and head off for the run. I run like a cheetah chasing its prey at full speed. I do a big sprint for the line and finally get my medal and celebrating saying cha-hoo ya-hoo way to finish it. After the tryathlon i head home and have a big rest.
